I've noticed no difference in the effects from using it as opposed to the NeilMed rinse bottle. I loved the cleansing effect, and couldnt believe what all "rinsed out", but, much to my surprise, I completely lost all sense of smell and taste, literally, ALL, for over 3 weeks following. Is this common? I didn't find the side effect worth it, though I really miss the benefits, as I have chronic allergies.

Re: Sinus Headaches and Migraines

Going through headaches every so often is a huge impediment to our productivity. After two sinus surgies (that didnt work) and prescription medicines I suffered through mild depression, headaches and had no energy. I had visited 3 different Allergists in the DC area and was at my wits end. I began my research in 2008 to find my own answer to this debilitating puzzle.
I found Dr Michael Kaliner at the Institute for Asthma & Allergy in Wheaton, MD. Dr Kaliner was Director of Allergic Diseases at the National Institute of Health, Pres of the World Allergy Organization, Pres of AAAAI etc etc. Who would be better at helping me?
After my initial consult he handed me a bottle of Sinol Nasal Spray for Allergies/Sinus. He told me it was made with capsaicin which is pepper. I was sceptical as I have tried so many different products but I did come to him because of his background and expertise.
This year, 2012, just about marks the 4th year I have been back to a quailty of life that I havent experienced since my teens. I use Sinol 3x a day, everyday, religiously.
If you have experienced anything like what I am talking about go to your local Rite Aid and buy this product. Use it for a month or so and you will be so happy you found this post. I am a dedicated Sinol fan and am on a mission to help others.
Patty

Re: How to use a NeilMed NasaFlo Neti Pot (For hay fever, sinusitis, and nasal allergies)

well i have clicked all i see to click and still cant get a form up to request the sample....growl

Re: How to use a NeilMed NasaFlo Neti Pot (For hay fever, sinusitis, and nasal allergies)

I didnt get mine...and its been months since I signed up and I am still living at the same place...where is mone?

Re: Swimming & Sinus Pain

DolRx™ is a patent-pending proprietary formula
that combines very high grade Devil 's Claw, Black Currant, Green-Lipped
Mussel, Willow Bark, Feverfew, Meadowsweet and White Birch. The formulation of
DolRx™ began with the investigation of the lowest possible doses of traditional
herb extracts to act additively or synergistically together to reduce
inflammation and pain. Three recognized models of inflammatory diseases were
used for its pre-clinical test protocols. These protocols resulted in formulas
benchmarked with current standards of care used in western medicine. The
primary goal of the first clinical trial of the three formulas was to assess
the safety and efficacy for the relief of pain in fourteen patients with either
low back pain, joint (knee, shoulder, or hip) pain, or muscular or articular
pain (the majority had moderate-to-severe pain). These patients had been
seeking alternative therapies to NSAIDs or surgery. all patients with low back,
hip and shoulder pain demonstrated significant benefit.Other
Ingredients: HPMC (capsules), Microcrystalline, Cellulose, and
Magnesium Stearate (derived from palm
oil). I took
all the pain medicationavailable in the market but all in vain. After taking
Dolrx for 2 days myswellingstarted to subside and I felt much better. I had suffered from painful joints for almost 5 years. I was told to have
severe osteoarthritis and 2 different doctors had recommended knee joint surgery. I
tried all the pain medications that are available in the market but nothing
helped. After taking Dolrx and Orthopen and applying senscool gel for 3 weeks I
felt 90% better. Initially I was not taking the suggested dose of Dolrx and Orthopen
that is why I think it took me 3 weeks. Nevertheless, after taking it for almost 6
weeks I feel much better and living a pain free life. The good thing about
painfreeology is that all the ingredients of their products are natural and that is
why I have no side effects. Even the capsule is vegetable form. I will highly
recommend this product to all of you out there who are suffering from pain,www.Painfreeology.com

Re: The History of the Neti Pot

Hi

Do you distribute your products in India? Within the dysosmia, if you are smelling
something that does not exist, it is called phantososmia. The dysosmias
may be due to many clinical disordrs, one of which includes alteration
of the olfactory neuroepithelium (lining of the olfactory nerve which is
the main nerve which allows us to perceive the sensation of smell)
within the nasal or sinus lining. The rhinosinusitis may have been
caused by the inflammation due to allergy or infection. The fact that it
improved with Netipot in my opinion, caused the inflammation to improve
and the dysosmia and phantososmia to resolve. If the symptom still
presisted, it may due to more serious condition of neurological
disorder. If your symptoms recurr or persist, you may want to consult an
ENT physician or a neurologist. Best wishes.

Re: Allergy symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms

Very informative blog.Thanks for sharing.

Re: Allergy symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms

Interesting question. Smelling something that is abnormal or smelling something that does not exist in the environment is generally a symptom also known as dysosmia.
